Free admission every day. The Connecticut Avenue entrance is a few blocks north of the Metro station.

Harry Wardman built rowhouses on Garfield Street in 1908 and 27th Street in 1910, apartment buildings on Connecticut Avenue around 1920, and Wardman Tower in 1928. Much of the neighborhood is the Woodley Park Historic District, listed in 1990.

Rock Creek Park runs along the east side of the neighborhood. The Klingle Valley Trail, closed to cars, runs under Connecticut Avenue to the creek along the north edge.
